Love You To Pieces

Hi there,

I started some Valentine cards last week and I was inspired to create this card for a Splitcoast Stampers challenge for Wednesday's card sketch from 1/25/17.  No worries, there are no deadlines to play these daily challenges so here is what I came up with using a new stamp set I just got from Impression Obsession called Love You More. I love the hand drawn look of this sweet set.  When I saw the sketch, I knew this set would be perfect!  I stamped the 3 square images, colored and die cut them out using Stitched Square STAX,  Landscape Trio from Mama Elephant, the little heats are from Memory Box. DP is American Crafts XOXO.

Happy Stamping and coloring!

It's Winter!

Hi there,

We have had snow and rain the last week here, and haven't seen the sun til today! Yay!  I colored this card yesterday because it was still snowing.  It's till cold in the high 30's. Brrrrrr! So I made a winter card with this adorable image called Uptown Girl Winona loves Winter from Stampingbella. I stamped her on Copic paper and colored with Copics, then cut her out with an oval die, DP is BoBunny Altitude which I bought at Hobby Lobby, the snowflakes are from Serendipity reverse snowflake die. Snow is Nuvo silver moondust crystal drops from Simon Says Stamps. I stamped the sentiment with Memento Danube Blue ink.

National Popcorn Day

Hi there,

I heard today is National Popcorn Day!! Yay! So I made a card in honor of it.Who doesn't love popcorn!  I used this adorable image from The Cat's Pajamas. It's a Valentine/Love set but I wanted to use the popcorn image for today. I didn't add the love sentiment in case I want to use it a different way.

Happy New Year!

Hi there,

I'm just now getting around to making a few New Years cards.  I managed to work on one today and do a little coloring too!  This cute little snow peep is from Unity. It's not a new image, I got it last year.   Do you struggle for layouts?  I know I do.  Thats always my starting point and I usually get my color palette from the Designers papers.  The DP is from My Minds Eye Christmas On Market Street, The image is From Unity Let's Get Slushed. The sentiment was heat embossed with Stampendous Pirate Gold embossing powder (one of my favs).

I've taken classes from Copic each time they have come to teach in my area of Phoenix AZ And those classes have been very helpful to me.  I always go back to the booklets I've gotten for reference on how to color things.  You can check out the classes HERE . I'll be taking a couple later this month as well.  Ive also taken lots of card classes in the past from Jennifer Dove she has a beginners coloring class through Annie's Crafts to check out. Her blog is Just4FunCrafts and she also does Copic Boot Camps for beginners and advanced coloring which I have done as well!
