Snowman and Friends Snow Globe

Hi there,

It's been a while since my last post so I got inspired yesterday to color up this adorable stamp from Purple Onion Designs called Snow globe. I just adore Stacey Yacula and her designs. You can check her work out on Etsy.  The inspiration for the colors comes from a new coloring class from Passionate Paper Creations Rhea is the instructor.  Even if you've been coloring for a while you will learn something new.  It's always good to go back and review too! On this image I used the color combo she used as well as coloring sky, snow, flicking and texture on the animals. I love how it turned out.  Its not the image she used but it worked for mine.

Oak Leaves & Gourds

Hi there,

I'm back with my first fall card of the season. I'm afraid I'm not getting very far as my craft room is a disaster right now. Having some work started shortly on the back patio and have some of the furniture stuffed in my room right now. I can't seem to get any crafting done when its a mess.

I chose to use two stamps sets from Powerpoppy.  Have you tried these stamps? They are always so much fun to color. the first one is Olive & Oak Expanded and Feeling Fall. She also carries digitals.  DP is from BoBunny and I just added some Nuvo drops and stickles for sparkle.

Daffodil Jar/First Day Of Summer

Well summer has arrived! It's a bit toasty here hope you are keeping cool wherever you live.  I am sharing my last project for the Graciellie Creative Design Team.  I decided to color up this daffodil jar from the Simple Wisdom digital stamp set for June.  I really wanted to color this jar because I attended a Copic Advanced boot camp in May and we colored something similar focusing on the jar, water, transparency, added water drops and of course flowers. I feel I achieved what I set out to do here.

I want to say thank you to Gracie of Graciellie Design. I have enjoyed my time with her team. Everyone was a joy to work with. So many talented team members and Gracie always blows me away with her talent!   I will be taking some time off for the summer.

Barbara (You Are Here)

I started by printing 3 peonies in different sizes on Strathmore smooth surface 100lb
It can go through my printer and when it came out I sprinkled with
gold embossing powder and melted with my heat gun. I learned this technique from one of my
teammates Ginny Maxam. I never knew you could emboss with digis! Did you?

Then I watercolored peonies with Zig Clean Color
Real Brush markers.

I decided to cut the peonies in half to arrange on my card base
of wood grained white card stock and added a strip of clear acetate with gold stripes.
Then added sentiment with a few punched leaves and Gold Nuvo drops.

Graciellie Design Pre-Release sneak peek Pray

Hi there,

All this week the Graciellie Design Creative Team is giving a sneak peek of a brand new digital stamp set our first hand lettered digital stamp set  called Pray.  This sweet little bonnet girl image is a favorite of Gracie (owner of Graciellie Design digital shop) and is part of her birthday celebration blog hop and complete NEW release coming May 2nd.  Isn't this an adorable set? This little girl comes in two images, one the apron is filled in so you could use your toner printer and add foil like Gracie did or outlined so you can color it! Brilliant!

I decided to make a little scene with this sweet little girl so I just printed her out on Copic paper  and die cut with the stitched rounded corner die, then colored her, added grass the masked her off and added  yellow air-brushing for the sun and the blue sky. I die cut the sentiment to look like the sun and added the clouds.

If you'd like to purchase this brand new set its available now in the SHOP . Please use the code: BARBARA10 to get 10% off your purchase! Please come back May 2nd we will have all new images and birthday celebration for Gracie!

Winner from May 1st is announced over on the Graciellie Design blog so please see list below and get hopping! See my pics below and lets get started!

For watercoloring this Bristol Smooth surface paper works great!
Just don't oversaturate with water and it won't warp. I
cut it to fit printer and printed out image.

I trimmed watercolor paper so I could watercolor my image.
I used the Westcottbrand 9inch paper trimmer to trim bristol smooth paper.

Choose watercolor medium. I used Kuretake.

Grab the rest of your supplies, mat, watercolor brushes:
Silver Black Velvet sizes 1,2 and 4. I don't use a water brush on this
paper as I want to control water flow. Paper towel and image.

Here are the colors I used. I splatted some bluish gold
and let dry completely before putting card together.

I used a pre-made clear acetate card base. I changed the color
to go inside to a darker pink with a faint stripe on it.

Here's my finished card. I added a piece of gold heart vellum,
die cut balloons, tiny hearts and bow. I cut the vellum with 9 in paper trimmer
,

Happy coloring and cutting!
