What's Your Sign?

Hi there,

Thought I would share this card we made in our monthly card club this month.  The theme was Valentine cards so here's mine.  I used this cute little Itty Bitty stamps set called What's Your Sign and you can find it Here .  I just love Unity stamps.  I used an older paper collection from Echo Park called Your's Truly.  A couple of Spellbinders dies and a few others and twine.  I decided to color the image monochromatic.

LOVE

Good Monday Morning,

It's time for some Valentine Inspiration featuring Prickley Pear stamps.  I'm still working on Valentine cards so I decided to use this large LOVE sentiment.  Using 3 colors pink, red and grey I colored the sentiment with Copics will link below and and added lots of dots to ground the image and around the letters as well.  A fun image to use as well for maybe Anniversary or even a Spring card. Can't wait for Spring to be here!  Added a few pink butterflies as well, twine, ribbon and heart picks.  I also used this weeks sketch from Sketch Saturday

Uptown Girl Bailey

Hi there,

I'm a coloring fool this week so I thought I would share another card.  This one isn't for anyone in particular I just really love this image.  It's a Stampingbella Uptown Girl called Bailey Has A Baby.  This is a new stamp. You can find it HERE.  I'm playing over at Bellarific Friday this weeks challenge is color.  And playing in a bunch of other challenges as well. For the Loves Rubber stamps challenge we were to use the letter "B" so I used baby, blue, bow, x-press Blending card.  Something old is this paper collection from last summer.  New Beginnings is the baby!  You can look below to see what the remainder of the challenges require. Oh by the way the textured background is a tutorial from Rhea at Passionate Paper Creations.  You can find the tutorial HERE.  Give it a try!

Love and Friendship

Hi there,

Well I'm back again this morning sharing a Valentine card or it could be a wedding themed card as well.  It's a stamp from Red Rubber Designs. You can find it HERE .  It is an Unmounted set. I've had this one in my stash of Valentine stamps so I decided to color it up and make an easel card to play in some challenges this week.  I partial fussy cut the heart and left the bottom portion just rounding the corners.  Added the postage stamp die behind it and the banner is new to me. I'm trying to keep to my New Year's resolution to use what I have!!!  Anyhow just love how this turned out! These stamps are very vintage so if thats what you like go take a look.  They have lots of great images and are fun to color.  Spend $50 and shipping is free in the US.

Mad About You

Hello everyone,

I'm here to share a card for Inspiration Monday at Prickley Pear stamps .  I wanted to make a Valentine card so Here is my take using a Halloween stamp set. This cat has a die that matches as well.  I will link below.  The sentiment comes with it too!  The hearts are from another clear stamp set.  I embossed some of those with white embossing powder.  The cat I stamped in blue and colored with Copics.  Stop by the Prickley Pear blog to see what the design team has for you today!

Hello Love

Happy Friday!

I'm playing again over at the Unity Friday Friends with Flair challenge plus a few others.  Featuring Unity stamps and the December KOM.  Aren't these little foxes just too cute.  I combined it with the hello love heart as well. I just bought some Derwent Inktense 24 pencils to try.  I usually use my Copics but am trying to branch out and try some new things.  Only 24 colors so this is really different for me!  I think I didn't do too bad for my first try.  Went over to U Tube to find some videos to watch.  I still love my Copics and always go back to them but it's good to try something new once in a while.  If I were going to buy a set again I would go for more colors.  That would be my only suggestion.

Be Mine

Hello there,

It's time for some Inspiration featuring Prickley Pear stamps.  Today I made a Valentine card.  Some of the Inspiration comes from the DP as well from Crate Paper Kiss Kiss.  First I figured out a layout using Pagemaps.  I got this site from another blog and chose the papers then I used Tim Holtz distress markers and colored the stamp then stamped it on the striped paper. Embossed the Be Mine sentiment in red.  Put it all together then sprayed the whole card with Tattered Angels gold spray.  Has kind of a watercolor feel to the branch and Hearts.  Also used a stamp on the third tag the 2 Hearts. Will link stamps below.  Please stop by the Prickley Pear blog to see what the design team has to share today! For some of the challenges I'm entering today the theme is something new so the DP is new and the stamps are new to me but not new to the Prickley Pear stamps line. Go do some shopping!

A Little Something For you

Happy Saturday!

Hope you all are having a good weekend so far.  It's raining here today.  I thought I would share a card I made for a family member for her birthday.  I just love Stampingbella stamps.  This one I've had in my box of new stuff for a while. So thought I would color her up.  She is an Uptown Girl  called Paisley has a Prezzie.  DP is one of my fav's right now Graphic45 Time To Celebrate.  I also had a die cut laying on my desk that didn't fit another card so I used it here.  It's a Cherry Lynn die called Italian Flourish Tiny Doily. I'm trying to go through my stash and use some things so I found the glasses sticker from Heidi Swapp and the tab is from Prima Optimist. And of course twine from The Twinery.

Happy Birthday

Hi there,

It's time for some Inspiration featuring Prickley Pear stamps and dies. I really needed to make some birthday cards and this one is very girly made with pinks and greens. I  used some of my favorite papers from Graphic45 Time To Celebrate paper collection. I think it could be a wedding card as well using Congratulations instead. Colored those little cakes with Copics to match the paper, added some ribbon and a little sparkle with Stickles.  The sentiment I colored with Tim Holtz distress markers then stamped to match. Embossed the Happy Birthday with brown embossing powder. Please stop by the Prickley Pear blog to see what the design team has for you today.

Time Flies 2015 Is here!

Happy New Year everyone!

Sharing a New Year card I made a few days ago for my sister.  I dug through my Unity stamps and thought this one Time Flies would make a good one.  Then dug through my scrap bin and found some gold pieces of DP and this is what I came up with.  I also wanted to use some of my dies that I haven't used in a while.  I stamped image then embossed it with gold powder then fussy cut it. Added banners    and butterflies and called it done. Any New Year's resolutions? One of mine is to use more of what I already own to make cards instead of buying so much!  We'll see how that goes! Grin!
