Graphic 45 July Challenge Entry

Thought I would share my July challenge project using Graphic 45's Bohemian Bazaar paper and an altered Rat Trap from Home Depot!  It's a birthday present for my friend's daughter that has a birthday in August. It's a memo clip. Shhhh! Don't tell.  Don't think she will see this.  Anyway I found this rat trap I bought a while back, you know that stuff you buy and put away in that hole you call your craft room or studio!!!!!  Well I thought what can I make?? This is it! A birthday wish list!  I started by painting the trap and the wood base I bought at Michaels with Tim Holtz distress paints in ocean blue and the base in rusty hinge.  Let dry then just started attaching the papers from Graphic 45 Bohemian collection and used the tags as well to cover the front, added some chipboard pieces, ribbon and tiny letters from my stash, brads, metal clip are also from Graphic 45, some bling, pearls and some twine and the happy birthday metal pieces are from Making Memories to finish it.  Then I glued the trap to the base. Done!  Hope she likes it.

I'm also entering this Altered piece in a few challenges this week as follows:
