Friendship Never Melts

Hello there,
Thought I would share a super quick and easy card I made today.  Yes, I'm STILL working on Christmas cards for local people so I still have time to send them.  This card was done with Authentique's Glistening paper collection!  Love this paper.  Picked it up in the 12X12 size.  I wanted to do a tag card so so I covered the tag using one of the corner's of the paper already had this image on it then added chunky white embossing powder to look like snow and to add a little texture.  Added a few snowflakes cut from white glitter paper.  Memory box Giovanna Snowflake, Memory Box Jingle Bell border, tag and ribbon from stash, sentiment is from stickers from same paper collection, bling Kaisercraft.  So I really cheated on this one, no stamping or coloring!  Easy.  I am entering this card in a few challenges this week as follows:

Paris perpetual calendar

Good Sunday morning,

It's Time once again for the anything goes challenge over at 613 Avenue Create.  This week's challenge optional theme is to make a mini or perpetual calendar.  Our sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies http://adayfordaisies.blogspot.com
I chose to do a perpetual calendar.  It's made from a metal piece I bought at Goodwill for a couple bucks. I painted the edges black, added the paper and calendar from Graphic45 and then went through my stash to make the magnets for the days.  The digi I chose to use is called Skirt of Flower's.  I colored it monochromatic hoping it would match the calendar.  This was a fun project and now I have a great Paris calendar for my craft room!

My lamp redo

Happy Friday!  Today I wanted to share my lamp makeover.  I purchased the lamp base a week ago at an antique store in Payson AZ.  Then I went on the hunt for a shade.  I found a white one with black trim at Goodwill for $1.99. Score!!  It was a little bent and had some scribbling in the inside of shade.  So I got to work and added tuille and some bling and stickpin to shade.  Then I added pearl swirls in black and grey, rhinestones and little black flowers.  I think It turned out pretty well.  not bad for a lamp costing $32. And it goes with the black and white color scheme I have going on!  Here are some pics.
